St. Peter Women's Club
Every woman in our parish, 18 years of age and older, is invited to participate
in the Women's Club. The purpose of the Women's Club is to encourage the
spiritual growth and social enrichment of our members as well as to carry out
projects in our parish. Our structure is built around guilds that meet as
needed throughout the year. The guild meetings provide time for prayer,
business, fellowship and fun. In addition
to our guild meetings, there are several general meetings yearly. You may join
at any time during the year. For more information, call one of the officers or

- Nativity Guild:
Works to help the parish and wider community set the tone in preparing
for Christmas, with Christ as the center. In November, a fun, unique
and charitable weekend event is organized. Spread out before us will be
a large display of various families' nativity sets for viewing. In the
middle of the beautiful display, a unique bazaar will be taking place.
The bazaar is a program of Catholic Relief Services called The Work of
Human Hands. The merchandise for sale is made by the poor in developing
countries. The poor are taught skills and business acumen, supported
and promoted by Catholic Relief in order to improve their life.
Visitors can purchase both practical and artistic items as gifts or for
their own use. All proceeds from the weekend go to the people who
produced the goods. Neither the parish nor the Women's Club keeps any
of the proceeds. Contact Peggy Gurbal (630) 232-8311, Mary Jaeger
(630) 232-0544, or Tina Trch (630) 232-1048.
