The new St. Peter Barn Sale web site is now on-line. Please visit this new site to find out information about donation Saturday's, volunteer opportunities, and what fun things you could be doing on Sept. 20 and 21, 2008. The address of the new site is: http://www.stpeterbarnsale.com
Once a month we offer a vast selection of meats, fish, poultry, cheese, nuts, fruits, vegetables and gourmet delicacies to be purchased through St. Peter Food Co-op. Prices are equal to or less than the retail market. Food is of hotel and restaurant quality. The 10% markup included in the consumer cost is the profit we realize and may be used for a tax deduction. Profits go to our school. Order forms are available after Mass on tables with bulletins, in St. Peter narthex rack by bulletin boards or on the web www.marketday.com. Contact Marge Masters (630)-232-4930 or Libby Gower (630) 232-9250.

PEACE certificates work the same as cash at more than 100 of your favorite local and national merchants. You buy the certificates at face value and the merchant donates a percentage back to the parish. By using the certificates to purchase your groceries, gas, clothing and even dining out, you can help promote businesses in our community and earn credits that can be used to reduce your school tuition or to benefit other parish programs.
The best part is that you, the purchaser, can choose where those funds will go. You can choose religious education, parish-wide educational enhancements, youth ministry, St. Peter Food Pantry, building expansion or the St. Peter Emergency Assistance Fund which assists those in need in our parish. St. Peter School families can choose to earn tuition credits or credits for other parish funds. A family of four that regularly uses the PEACE program can earn $600 or more in tuition credit per school year.
Certificates are available for purchase on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the school hallway. Most certificates are available for immediate pick-up. If certificates are not immediately available, they will be ready for pick-up the following Monday night.
School families may also choose to participate in the convenient "Red Bag" program. Families receive an order form for the week in a special Red Bag, then return their completed order form and check on Mondays with their child. Volunteers process the orders and certificates are sent home with the child on Fridays along with a new order form for the following week.
For information, please call Linda Fritz (630) 208-8094 or Connie Montana (630) 406-9246.
