Feed My Starving Children
Part of our Catholic faith tradition is to serve those in need. In February 2010 the Peer Ministry Outreach Team will invite students to join them as they volunteer at Feed My Starving Children in Aurora. Date and Time to be announced. Discipleship and Vocation Conference
Joy is defined as the feeling of happiness or extreme cheerfulness. C.S. Lewis wrote a book in 1955 titled, Surprised by Joy, in which he recounts his journey from atheism to theism to Christianity. His aim was to identify and describe the events surrounding his accidental discovery of and consequent search for the phenomenon he labeled “joy.”
The one word that best describes the HERE I AM LORD conferences is, “joy”. The joy that married couples and singles have in sharing their lives. The joy that priests, brothers, and sisters have sharing with all they come in contact with. It is that joy that will put an end to the “vocations crisis” we are experiencing in the Church.
At the HERE I AM LORD Conferences, married couples, singles, priests and religious come together to share their joy! The conference will prepare you to “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature” (Mk 16:15) with that joy and to begin your journey as you seek the answer to the question, 'What does God want?" Come experience that JOY!!!
