Reconciliation Room

The entrance to the Reconciliation Room is to the right of the chapel altar. The penitent may choose face-to-face contact with the priest or screened privacy for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. An open, narrow window off the Narthex keeps the room atmosphere light.
Prayer Rug by Agnes Wermuth The prayer rug that hangs on the wall of the Reconciliation Room was hooked by the late Agnes Wermuth, parishioner. Mrs. Wermuth's rugs hang in the Art Institute of Chicago, the Boston Museum of Art, and the Baltimore Museum of Art.
Penitent Screen by Gloria Lindstrom The penitent's screen in the Reconciliation Room was designed and executed by Gloria Lindstrom, Ginny Billhardt and Jane Meyer , parishioners. The frame for the screen and the pole for the rug hanging were designed and crafted by parishioner, Ray Jeskie.
