FRIENDS OF THE POOR WALK

Why this Walk

The St. Peter Geneva conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul serves people

in our parish boundaries who are suffering from poverty. We are participating in the annual

Friends of the Poor Walk/Run fundraiser to help our neighbors in need.

WHERE

Fabyan Forest Preserve, Rte. 31 Geneva IL – meet at the Bear Cage/Japanese Garden.

WHEN

Saturday, Sept 27 – Race Day Registration at 8:30am – Kick-off at 9am.

DONATE

Donate in person: at collection basket at church or St. Vincent de Paul collection box at entrance to church. Make checks payable to

St. Vincent de Paul Society

 (envelopes will be provided)

Join us for fun, fellowship and fund-raising.

There is no set route or finish line. You can walk or run the pathway in either direction

for as long and as far as you wish. Strollers and walkers are welcome.


100% of your donations will be used to provide assistance with short-term emergency needs for housing, utilities, car repairs, food, clothing and transportation.
